Dear Teamsters Local 223 Members,

Leslie Sloy, Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local 223 for the last 4 years, announced her well-deserved retirement after almost 44 remarkable years at the local.

Leslie Sloy has been an integral part of our union, dedicating her career to advocating for the rights and welfare of our hardworking members. Her unwavering commitment, astute leadership, and tireless efforts have played a pivotal role in shaping the success and growth of Teamsters Local 223. We are profoundly grateful for Leslie's remarkable tenure and the indelible impact she has made on our organization.

At the Executive Board meeting held on October 11th, 2023, it was with great confidence and unanimity that the board members voted to appoint Austin DePaolo as the incoming Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local 223, effective January 1st, 2024.

As we bid farewell to Leslie Sloy, we are deeply grateful for her unwavering commitment to our cause and the countless lives she has positively impacted throughout her career. We wish her an enjoyable and fulfilling retirement, knowing that her legacy will forever inspire us to strive for excellence.
